Our OAS Niagara system and function macros - OAS-MACs - are a collection of ready-made Niagara 4 software modules that can be used for building technology applications with N4 controllers, such as JACE® 8000.
We provide our OAS partners with this extensive collection of system macros, in which many typical applications are already programmed. A software application for a complex system is created by simply combining the individual function blocks - the OAS-MACs - and then configuring them, e.g. by assigning the data points and system parameters. The slots (connections of the function blocks) are automatically connected to the correct slots of other function blocks and the physical inputs and outputs. The finished application can then be put into operation.
Complex programming, as is necessary with conventional systems, can therefore be dispensed with. This leads to significant cost savings during project planning and commissioning of the system. The resulting software application can be reused by the partner as a standardized automation solution template.
The entire commissioning of the application is carried out via a web-based user interface. There, the user can set all parameters and make further configurations to the application.
The OAS Niagara system and function macros increase the quality of the creation of application programs. The macros combine function modules according to the latest state of control technology, i.e. concepts, methods and strategies that correspond to the current state of the art.
The OAS Niagara system macros are available to N4 OAS-Partner with system integrator status after extensive training.

The OAS Basic Functions are functions within the OAS Niagara system and function macros that ensure the functionality of the system. These require a license. Without this license, certain parts of the regulations and controls will not be executed.
